Hazard Statements
Overexposure to masonry cement mixed with water can cause skin or eye damage in the form of chemical (caustic) burns, including third-degree burns. The same type of injury can occur if we or moist skin has prolonged exposure to dry cement.
Overexposure to cement mixed with water causes severe skin burns and eye damage. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Swallowing may cause damage to mouth, throat or internal organs. Inhalation may cause respiratory irritation. Long term inhalation may damage lungs or cause cancer.
Precautionary Statements
Skin Protection: Prevention is essential to avoiding potentially severe skin injury. Avoid contact with unhardened masonry cement. If contactoccurs, promptly wash affected area with soap and water. Where prolonged exposure to unhardened masonry cement products might occur wear impervious to water to eliminate foot and ankle exposure.
